Music Mondays: Good, Good Father by Housefires

Who doesn't love them some good Chris Tomlin worship songs? How Great is our God, Forever, Indescribable, Better is One Day, Jesus Messiah, just to name a few. So I'm sure you're probably familiar with this song that's been playing on the radio.

But thanks to a  request from Deborah, this post here is actually the original song, written and sung by Housefires. This song was originally written as a response to the writer (Tony Brown)'s having grown up without a father.

Take a listen--this is their live version.

I’ve heard a thousand stories of what they think you’re like
but I’ve heard the tender whisper of love in the dead of night
You tell me that you’re pleased and that I’m never alone
