Just a few weeks ago, we had our annual Bronanza! Like any gathering of brothers, we started the night off enjoying a giant BBQ dinner, with almost every meat out there, from Louisiana Hot Links, Steaks, and Ribs from Phil's BBQ!
However, the night wasn't all just about meat, as after our feast, a few of the older staff brothers shared through a panel about the importance of peer relationships. We heard funny stories of what type of first impressions each class of brothers had of each other, how they grew closer through the four year journey of college, and even heard how it's these relationships that were once awkward and a burden at the time to now as a source of strength when serving God together. The older brothers ultimately encouraged the younger brothers to really treasure these peer relationships that we get to experience in college. Tony also shared through his bible study the loyalty of Jonathan and his armor-bearer in 1 Samuel 14, and challenged us to have relationships that go deeply as those two had.
To close off the night, we had a class competition testing our engineering skills through building bridges and egg protectors, and then a giant tournament of a tug-of-war! Here's a video recapping the whole night!
