ABOUT US

Each of us came to UCSD with different backgrounds, expectations, and pursuits. But along the way, we found ourselves asking very similar questions: What is life? Why are we here? What is our purpose?

At Acts 2 Fellowship (A2F), we found a safe space to explore these questions and a home away from home where we could hang out, cram for exams, eat good food, and build lasting friendships with one another.

We are a Christian group on campus that strives to do life together the way the early church did, as described in Acts chapter 2 of the Bible. And despite our different backgrounds, we each found something very compelling about the Acts 2 community here when we saw people actually living out what they say they believe and having real relationships with one another. We welcome you to join us, and experience it yourself.

ACTS 2:42-47

42 And they devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. 43 And awe came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were being done through the apostles. 44 And all who believed were together and had all things in common. 45 And they were selling their possessions and belongings and distributing the proceeds to all, as any had need. 46 And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts, 47 praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved.

HISTORY

A2F was formed when a group of 14 UC Berkeley graduates decided to take a step of faith together and leave behind their homes, jobs, and friends in the Bay Area to start this fellowship at UCSD in 2010. Our legacy is one of taking the Bible to heart as commanded in Matthew 28:19- “Go therefore, and make disciples of all nations…” Today, we continue to strive to live according to the way God has taught us to through the Bible.
